01 · Family screenings
The best nights weren’t fancy. They were Al, the remote, and a living room full of people trying to pick one movie nobody had seen.
Meet the namesake
Watch with Al is a tiny streaming assistant built from one very real memory: a little girl growing up next to a dad who could make any night on the couch feel like an event.
His name is Al. He’s hilarious. He can nap through anything. And he always somehow knew what was on.

Al and his little girl
The short version
01 · Family screenings
The best nights weren’t fancy. They were Al, the remote, and a living room full of people trying to pick one movie nobody had seen.
02 · Couch naps
Al could fall asleep mid-scene and wake up asking what he missed. That energy lives on in every reminder this app sends.
03 · Green thumb
When he wasn’t holding the remote, he was usually outside with dirt under his nails. Al is a great gardener — he just knows how to make things grow.
04 · The next chapter
This little project is a way to celebrate Al as he becomes a great-grandpa, keeping the tradition of watching together alive for the next generation.
The full Al file
Part-time comedian
Al’s timing is never on purpose, which is exactly why it lands. He can make a grocery list sound like a set at the Laugh Factory.
Knows how to get the girls
His wife, daughters, and grandkids have been under his spell for decades. Charm, jokes, and the occasional well-timed nap — it all works.
Amazing auto mechanic
Give him a paperclip, some duct tape, and ten minutes of confidence, and he’ll convince you the car is fixed. Usually, it actually is.

So why this app?
Between Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Max, and whatever new service launches next week, keeping track of your shows has become a part-time job. Al would never stand for that.
Watch with Al is the streaming DVR he would have invented if he’d been a software engineer instead of a professional couch napper: one place to follow your shows, know when new episodes drop, and click straight to where they’re streaming.
It’s personal, it’s practical, and it’s got just enough Al in it to make you smile.
A note from me
“Thanks, Dad, for being an amazing Grampa, an awesome friend, and one of my favorite people to laugh and trade jokes with. This one’s for you, and for every family couch, every remote fight, and every ‘wait... what are we watching?’ moment still to come.”
